JMP LABS LLC ("Postii," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Postii website and service (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Postii, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Postii account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Billing Information
Postii uses Polar.sh as our payment processor and merchant of record. When you start a trial or subscribe, your payment card details are collected and processed directly by Polar (and its underlying processor, Stripe) — Postii does not store your full card number on our servers. We do receive limited billing information from Polar, such as your subscription status and transaction history, to manage your account.
Usage and Analytics Data
We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our website and Service. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and general usage patterns. This data is used in aggregate to improve Postii — not to identify you individually.
Content You Provide
Information you give us to generate Instagram posts (such as business details, prompts, or preferences) is collected so we can provide the Service to you.
Instagram Account Access (Scheduling & Posting)
If you choose to connect your Instagram account to Postii — for example, to schedule or publish posts directly through the Service — we will access limited account information and data through Instagram's API, as authorized by you and permitted by Meta's platform policies. This may include your Instagram username, profile information, and the content you authorize us to post or schedule on your behalf. We only request the access necessary to provide this functionality, and you can revoke this access at any time through your Instagram account settings or your Postii account settings. This feature is optional — Postii's core post-generation functionality does not require connecting your Instagram account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Generate, schedule, and (where you've authorized it) publish content to your connected Instagram account
- Process your trial and subscription billing through Polar
- Communicate with you about your account, including trial and billing notices
- Understand usage trends and improve Postii
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:
- Payment processing: With Polar.sh and Stripe, to process your trial and subscription payments.
- Instagram/Meta: With Instagram's platform, solely to enable scheduling or publishing features you've authorized.
- Analytics providers: With tools like Google Analytics, to understand Service usage.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Postii, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: If Postii is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you before this happens and before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and usage information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you disconnect your Instagram account, we delete the associated access tokens and stop accessing your Instagram data going forward. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
